Cllr. Ian Buckland, who has narrowly lost the Littlehampton Town Division to the Conservatives has payed special tribute to some of the great people he has met while canvassing. Ian said;-

"Despite losing this battle by 68 votes, I have had good fun and learned alot while meeting residents in the town. I always say 'win or lose, I will listen to your views' and that's what counts. I want to say a special 'thank you' to those people who said they'd support me."

When asked what Ian was going to do next, he said;-

"Carry on as before! Fighting for residents of River ward and learning from my experience today. The town hospital still needs rebuilding and the roads are still a disgrace, I will carry on fighting!"

The full results are;-

Con - 757

Ian - 689

Lab - 568
