Tories say 'no to ASDA's 500 new Bognor jobs

ASDA

Paul Wells with well known former Bognor mayor Francis Oppler

The Conservative decision to reject the ASDA planning application for a new store in Bognor Regis, has left local residents dazed and very angry. It makes no sense at all, the store would have provided 500 new jobs, and ASDA were going to provide all the service roads and necessary service for the entire new Commercial Park. The store would have given competition to the other local supermarkets and much greater choice for local people. I am proud to say the EVERY Liberal Democrat on the Development Control Committee voted for ASDA.
